Microcontrollers Report

You are required to write a report on a microcontroller (other than the one that is used in class). This report will be a website version. You will select the microcontroller that you wish to report on and get the instructor's permission to do the report on that chip. I will only allow one student to report on a specific chip (or chip family). Additionally you will present the report verbally to the class (approximately a ten minute report.)

Topics To Be Included

  1. Name of chip.
  2. Year of Design
  3. Manufactor(s) of the chip
  4. Technical Details of the chip (speed, memory, etc)
  5. Operating systems for chip
  6. Programming languages for the chip
  7. Programming environments (including open source)
  8. Cost per unit/lot size ($1.00 per chip in lots of 100, etc)
  9. Cost of evaluation kit and description of the kit
  10. Example usage of chip
  11. Miscellaneous
  12. Links to additional wepsites

Webpage requirements

Web pages will be in a directory that is named for the chip (i.e., 8051) and the first page in the directory will be named index.html. You can have as many webpages as you wish. Webpages should be neat and attractive. If possible, you should get a graphic image(.gif or .jpg) of the chip for the page.

You will turn in a tar file containing the directory and all the files contained in it. This directory will be added to the course homepage for public display.
