CMSC 201 Quizzes and Examinations

Quizzes

There will be some undisclosed number of unannounced quizzes given this semester. They may be given in either lecture or in the discussion sections, so you should keep up with the assigned reading during the semester and make sure you attend all classes regularly. There will be no make-ups given for quizzes. The combined quiz scores will count as 10% of your final grade.

The Midterm

• The midterm will be given on Wednesday 3/17 or on Thursday 3/18/99 at your normally scheduled lecture time.
• A master list of questions for the midterm is available now.
• Due to the snow day last week, we have not been able to cover pointers as scheduled. Therefor, questions from the master list that deal with pointers will NOT be on the midterm exam. Those questions are numbered:
  • TRUE/FALSE: # 1, 2, 3, 62-70, and 72-78.
  • MULTIPLE CHOICE: # 22-26, 28, 30, and 39.
  • SHORT ANSWER: # 1, 18, 19, 24, 35-37, 67, 71, and 72.

The Final Exam

• The final exam will be given in your regular lecture hall. The exam days and times are as shown below :

  Sections 301 - 304 will be given 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM on Mon 5/17 in L.H. 5
  Sections 101 - 104 will be given 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Tues 5/18 in L.H. 4
  Sections 201 - 204 will be given 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tues 5/18 in L.H. 1
