Final Grades Information

Some of you may find that a project score that was previously a zero has now received some credit (up to 50% of the possible value). This was due to a grading error on my part. I had instructed the grader to give a zero to any project that did not compile. However, on the 104 web site I had stated that a project that did not compile, but for which a good attempt was made, could receive up to 50% of the project's value. So, I had the projects that qualified (i.e., those that did not compile) regraded. I apologize for this temporary error.

Final letter scores are based on the following scale:

Scores were rounded (x.5% rounded up, x.4% rounded down). There was NO curving (and will be NO curving) of final scores.
If you believe that there has been an error in the recording of an individual score(s), calculate whether or not a change in that score(s) will change your final letter grade. If it will not, it is not necessary to contact me.
I will be available via e-mail through Wednesday, January 3. CONTACT ME VIA E-MAIL WITHIN THAT TIME PERIOD IF YOU WISH TO DISCUSS YOUR GRADE. If you absolutely cannot e-mail by January 3, I will be available at the start of the spring semester.
FOR SECTION 0601 ONLY: A final exam was turned in with no name on it. If you believe that it is your exam, e-mail me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
