Converting Decimal to Binary

• First make a list of the values of 2 to the powers of 0 to 8, then use the subtraction method.

• 20 = 1, 21 = 2, 22 = 4, 23 = 8, 24 = 16,

• 25 = 32, 26 = 64, 27 = 128, 28 = 256

• Example: 42 42 10 2

• - 32 - 8 - 2

• 1 0 1 0 1 0

• 25 24 23 22 21 20
