A good step by step instructions for installing Red Hat Linux 7.3 in UMBC network can be found at http://www.umbc.edu/oit/sans/core/umbc-redhat/ or Getting started with linux. AFS and Depot links may not be relevant to you but install and post install links give a very detailed instructions for successfully installing linux in your machine. Security and Networking links are relevant if you plan to connect the machine to internet.
