Project Submittal Guidelines

Some guidelines for using the submit command:

The class name for project submittal is "cs341". All students use the same class name, regardless of your section.
The project names are "Proj1", "Proj2", "Proj3", "Proj4" and "Proj5". Notice that the names are capitalized.
Example: If you want to submit the file "Proj1.C" for project 1, then you issue the following command:

submit cs341 Proj1 Proj1.C
You can submit as often as you like. So, don't wait until 11pm of the due date to submit for the first time. You can submit "unfinished" versions of your programs.
The date command on UNIX will tell you what time the system thinks it is.
After you have submitted your project for the last time, do not use the submit command --- even to resubmit an identical file. We will use the modification dates of the files submitted to determine if the project was submitted on time.
This means that you should never submit a file after midnight of the due date.
Also, do nothing that might change the date/time of the files you sumitted -- like opening them in the editor.
Remember:
- You must always submit an appropriate makefile. The grader uses this to compile your project.
- The makefile must be named either makefile or Makefile
- The executable produced by the makefile must be named after the project. For example, the executable for project 1 must be named Proj1
You can use the submitls command to list the files you have submitted. For example, to list the files you have submitted for project 1:

submitls cs341 Proj1
You can use the submitrm command to remove files you submitted previously. For example, if you submitted a file called "p1.c" and you want to remove it and submit a file called "Proj1.C" instead, you can do the following to remove "p1.c" and submit "Proj1.C":

submitrm cs341 Proj1 p1.c
submit cs341 Proj1 Proj1.C
