Oh, yes. One thing I forgot to mention. There is currently a very active effort
to develop a virtual reality file format (Virtual Reality Modeling Language or
VRML) for the web. This could conceivably make 3D environments (if not the
interactivity of them) as easy to access as html documents are now. Check
out the VRML 1.0 Draft Specification:
