Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

This undergraduate course provides a general introduction to Artificial Intelligence concepts and techniques. We will cover a good part of the material in our text, Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach (fourth edition) by Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig, including the agent paradigm in AI systems, problem solving, search, game playing, knowledge representationand reasoning, natural language processing, planning, andmachine learning. A digitial version of the book is available through UMBC's CMI program.

When and Where

  • Synchonous lectures, Tue/Thr 4:00-5:15pm online via Webex
  • Some asynchronous lecture material may also be available
  • Viseos of the recorded lectures will be saved on Blackboard
  • We will use discussion boards on Blackboard and a Discord server for questions and discussion
